Hi, I’m Rita, a New York–based designer. I combine empathy, problem-solving, and rigor to craft intuitive and intentional experiences.

As a first-generation queer immigrant, my worldview shapes why I design — to create a world that’s more equitable and inclusive, a world that sees people of marginalized communities.

I’m a designer originally from Beijing, China. Currently, I’m a Communications Designer at PEI Architects in New York, where I continue shaping the firm’s rich design legacy and its impactful body of work through various marketing efforts.

I’m fascinated by the intersection between art and technology, and the impact they can create on human society. I’m enthusiastic about the possible contributions inclusive, accessible, and human-centric design can bring to the world. I enjoy interdisciplinary, comparative thinking while exploring the world as one unit culture.

Apart from designing to impact, I explore my surroundings and express my thoughts beyond words through photography, and I conduct interdisciplinary research about design and social topics.
